House of Grace formed in 2018, since then we have meet on a weekly basic for worship services and prayer times open to everyone. We are lively and informal with a real family feel and have established a culture where everyone is welcome whatever your background or story. Our team is made up from people with real lived experience, where there own personal stories are ones of transformation. Richard and Claire saw the need in the Dearne Valley and felt to launch House of Grace, 1 year later Mark and Diane joined them and they have served as the leadership team and trustees ever since.
Since House of Grace began we have had a passion to love and serve our community, helping to alleviate poverty and suffering through the provision of food hampers, hygiene hampers, baby packs, winter clothing and school uniforms. As COVI hit and then costs of living crisis has only increased the need so has the demand on our services. As we grow and move forward we have plans to support our community in a variety of ways including community meals, lunches for the elderly, fun day, seasonal activities, workshops to enhance life skills and more. As demand increases this also brings more opportunity for people to volunteer, not only will this help people to feel part of something but also helps peoples mental health.
We believe House of Grace will be a place of hope, life and love.
