Welcome

Thank you for visiting our site. While we are currently updating our design, we are pleased to provide you with essential information about House of Grace, a vibrant church and registered charity (1203279) located in Wath Upon Dearne, South Yorkshire, at the heart of the Dearne Valley. House of Grace is a warm and informal community where everyone is embraced with a family-like atmosphere. We gather every Sunday at 4pm at Newhill Christian Fellowship on Varney Road, Wath Upon Dearne, S63 7HS. Our church is lovingly led by Richard & Claire Ashby alongside Mark & Diane Burgin.

Our New Home and Vision

In 2024, we acquired our own building—an old Gospel Hall—which we have been diligently fundraising to renovate. This building will serve as both a church and a community centre. We are excited to share that the renovation is approaching its final phase, with completion anticipated by summer 2026.

At the core of our belief is the principle that “love looks like something”. We are committed to actively demonstrating love by serving our local community. Once our building is ready, along side our church meetings we plan to host community meals and lunches, along with workshops and activities designed to combat loneliness and isolation.

Worship

Worship at House of Grace is a heartfelt and lively expression of our faith, where we come together to praise, honor, and connect with God. We believe deeply in the power of God moving among us during worship—transforming hearts, inspiring hope, and bringing healing and renewal. Our worship style is informal and family-friendly, creating a welcoming environment for everyone, whether you are new or have been part of our community for years.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our worship service. During this time, we engage in inspiring music, prayer, and teaching that encourages spiritual growth and community connection. It is a time when we expect God to move powerfully in our midst, stirring faith and drawing us closer to Him.

Worship is central to our life as a church, reflecting our belief that love and faith are active and visible in how we live and serve one another. Whether through music, scripture, or fellowship, worship at House of Grace seeks to bring people closer to God and to each other, as we experience His presence and guidance in our lives.

Supporting Our Community

Beyond this, House of Grace continues its dedication to alleviating poverty and suffering through our Bags of Hope project. This vital programme provides food and hygiene hampers to individuals and families facing crisis, ensuring they receive practical support when it is most needed.

We invite you to join us in this journey of faith and service, where together we can foster connection, hope, and compassion within the Dearne Valley.
